What's The Scoop on Juice?
~ Measuring pH Levels ~
Purpose of this Activity:
This activity will involve
measuring the pH of a set of juices in order to determine the concentration of hydronium ion in each. Measure the pH of five different solutions of juices. Manipulate the data to determine the amount of hydronium ion in each solution, [H3O+1].

Reflection:
This hands on activity was a great way of showing how to incorporate manipulatives within a classroom lesson. I believe that hands on activities are a great way for students to learn and explore many different topics, and is beneficial to all students as it engages everyone in the lesson. This hands on activity, gives the students an opportunity to explore the topic in measuring pH levels and [H3O+1] of each juice. I found that by doing this activity myself. I was very engaged and eager to learn about the different juices and what each juice has in common. After allowing the students to measure the pH levels and [H3O+1] of each juice, I would have the students create a graph to represent the relationship between juices using the data they have recorded. This activity is one that the students will be able to recall and remember after having the opportunity to explore this activity using different manipulatives and juices. It will also allow the students to connect to real life situations and real-world problems!
